Between the Boblata forest and the main road Ruse – Silistra there is a small dam, where fishing is allowed all year round. In the immediate vicinity of the dam is the recreation area “Stomnata”, created in 1981 as part of the celebrations of 1300 years since the founding of the Bulgarian state. A pitcher over 2.5 m high has been built, in the middle of which there is a captured spring with a drinking fountain. Near it is a map of Bulgaria formed with shrubby vegetation and 1300 is written. The symbols are clearly visible from the main road in spring, when the bushes bloom white.
The idea is from Eng. Stefan Boyadzhiev, then director of the local road department, who is known in the area for his wonderful plant figures masterfully formed from shrubs.
In the immediate vicinity is also an ornithologically important place “Stena”. The area is maintained exclusively with the voluntary work .
