Every year, the organizers select a new route in the surrounding area, which will surprise the crews with its challenges. In 2015, over 50 teams from Bulgaria, Greece and Romania took part. The competition is in three classes – expert, hobby and ATV. The event is two-day, with the first day of the competition being in navigation according to a road map, and the second – in movement over very rough terrain. Competitors and spectators stay overnight in tents at the local football stadium, and the mood is provided by rock bands and masters of barbecue and fish soup.
In recent years, OFFROAD – NOVA ČERNA has become the most innovative OFFROAD competition in the country, and the route manages to challenge even the most experienced thrill seekers.
In 2024, the format has a main motto – Fishing, and 80 competitors from all over Bulgaria participated in it. They competed in 4 classes – Expert, Standard, Moto and ATV/UTV.
The three-day program included azimuth search, route according to a road book and a closed course.
