The "wall" near the town of Tutrakan is a vertical loess wall with a height of up to about 12 m on the southern slope of a hill southwest of the town of Tutrakan.
It is a plateau with a unique forest of silver-leaved linden and several species of oak with grassy communities, in which dozens of rare plant and animal species are found.
The Pozharevsky Islands, also known as the Big and Small Kosuy, are home to cormorants, pelicans, herons, and grebes, which we can observe from the shore or in the river while they forage for food or in flight near the natural floodplain forests of the islands around Tutrakan.
